Caevolaspecus CAEVOLASPECUS In the late 1400s in Rich Bay Island, lived flower bats which were different from the bats that humans know today. These flower bats had a high sense of smell to find flowers nearby, to eat the pollen they could find to fill their appetite. They would later return to their cave to either reproduce, rest, or to hide from the natives that killed them for food. Not only were they fodder for the natives, but they were already decreasing in population from the overhunting and Habitat destruction from both the natives and the new Hispanic explorers that came to the island.
